Rubina Vasilyan

Hello! My name is Rubina. I’m fluent in three languages: English, Russian, and Armenian. As a professional teacher I’m really excited about the opportunity of teaching Armenian online. I graduated from Yerevan State Linguistic University with a degree in English Language Teaching and Psychology. I received a Master of Theology degree from the University of Wales and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from American University of Armenia.

I am well versed in Armenian culture, history, arts, and religion. I have had a number of articles published in a local travel magazine. I’ve been teaching standard Armenian and Western Armenian to English speakers. I understand every student learns in different ways and so my teaching method varies depending on the learner’s individual needs, skills, goals and level of language proficiency. I use a number of teaching methods and materials. Having gone through the language learning experience myself, I have a good sense for the feelings and thinking of the students I teach. This allows me to tailor the Armenian learning experience to meet each student’s personal needs. As a teacher I am demanding but also patient, kind and friendly.
